Hail & storm damage roofing
Free storm inspections, real photo documentation, and a roofer who knows how insurance claims work. Local since long before the last storm.
We were here before this storm. We’ll be here after it.
North Texas sits in one of the most hail-prone parts of the country. After every big storm, out-of-town crews show up, knock doors for a few months, and disappear.
Kilker Roofing has roots going back to 1976 and has been in Frisco since 2011. When you need something on that roof three years from now, you’ll be able to reach us.
Derik knows the insurance side of this business. Xactimate estimates, what adjusters look for, brittleness, and how to document hail and wind damage so it’s clear. That experience goes to work for you from the first inspection.

From the storm to the finished roof
Free inspection
We check shingles, ridge, vents, flashing, gutters and soft metals for hail and wind damage, and photograph everything.
Straight answer
If the damage isn’t there, we tell you. No point filing a claim that goes on your record for nothing.
Adjuster meeting
If you file, we can meet the adjuster on the roof and walk through what we found.
Build & close out
We build the roof, then send the paperwork your insurance company needs to release any held-back funds.
Storm damage we handle
- Hail damage to shingles
- Wind damage and blow-offs
- Damaged vents and flashing
- Gutter and downspout damage
- Siding and window wraps
- Fence damage
- Emergency tarping
- Fallen limb damage
About deductibles: your deductible is your share of the claim and it’s owed on every insurance job. Be careful with any contractor who offers to “cover” or “waive” it. In Texas that’s against the law, and it’s a red flag about how the rest of the job will go.

Common questions
How do I know if hail damaged my roof?
You usually can’t tell from the ground. Look for dents in gutters, downspouts, AC fins and soft metals, and dings on cars or patio furniture. Those are clues. The only way to know about the shingles is to get on the roof. More here: what to do after a hailstorm.
Should I call my insurance company or a roofer first?
We’d suggest a free inspection first. If there’s no real damage, you haven’t opened a claim for nothing. If there is, you’ll go into the claim with photos and a clear picture of what’s damaged.
Will you meet the adjuster?
Yes, when you want us there. We’ll be on the roof with the adjuster to point out what we found. It’s still your claim and your policy, but having the roofer there helps make sure damage isn’t missed.
Is there a deadline to file a hail claim?
Policies have time limits, and many Texas policies give you a limited window after the storm date. Check your policy or ask your agent, and don’t wait months to get the roof looked at.
What if my claim gets denied or comes in short?
We’ll go over the adjuster’s estimate with you line by line and compare it to what the roof actually needs. Missing items can often be documented and submitted to the insurance company for review.
